You can help the animals and give a gift in someone’s name (including pets!) as a memorial or for any occasion.
These days, one of the most appreciated gifts can be one that helps others. You can give a gift to the Sacramento SPCA to remember others for memorials, birthdays, anniversaries or any special occasion. For gifts of $25 or more, we will mail an acknowledgement to the recipient. Gifts of $250 or more will be listed in our Heartline newsletter. Participating in your company’s employee giving campaign leverages the link between your professional life and your commitment to the Sacramento SPCA. Many companies match employee donations dollar-for-dollar, meaning your donation of $45 per month can be worth more than $1,000 each year.
Matching Gift Programs

Participating in a matching gift program makes your donation go further. Many companies encourage employees to donate to their favorite charities by matching their contributions, in some cases dollar-for-dollar or more.
Charitable Gift Annuity
Receive fixed payments for life while saving the animals!
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a time-tested method that many donors use to both give and receive. In addition to making a “planned gift” to the Sacramento SPCA’s endowment at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, a Charitable Gift Annuity will create an immediate income tax deduction and generate fixed income for life. After your lifetime, the remainder in the account will be transferred to the Sacramento SPCA’s endowment on your behalf.

Enjoy food from Frenchy’s Waffle Truck, cocktails from Burke Spirits, coffee from Insight Coffee Roasters and a fashion show benefiting women from Saint John’s Program for Real Change. Stop by to enjoy the food, entertainment and unique fashions and collectibles at great prices – with proceeds benefiting the Sacramento SPCA animals.

A living trust is often a good supplement to a will for those who wish to avoid the time and expense of probate. There are many kinds of trusts for many different purposes. But they all have one thing in common: they are a means of assuring that your property will be handled, and ultimately passed on, in the way you wish.

Life Insurance
A gift of life insurance to the Sacramento SPCA can be a way to make a significant donation even though you may not be a wealthy person. If you have existing policies for which you no longer need the coverage, consider assigning ownership to the Sacramento SPCA. By naming the Sacramento SPCA as both owner and beneficiary, you get a tax deduction as well as make a generous gift at low cost. You may take an immediate tax deduction for the cost basis or surrender value, whichever is less.
